Dr. Nadan is a senior executive-level manager and leader, Chief Innovation Scientist, educator, mentor, and sherpa who invented, innovated, and worked on many products/services, including eZPass, CD-ROM, Reuters TriarchTM, and 16:9 HDTV for which his Philips Research team received a 2002 Emmy for Scientific and Technological Advancement. He enjoys creating, designing, and implementing products/services and customized business management and leadership processes that solve difficult problems. He teaches graduate-level strategic management of technological innovation and business research processes and methods. He achieves remarkable results and develops people by coaching and mentoring students, managers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and engineers who identify and want to solve significant problems.

Dr. Nadan co-founded Autonomous Professional Development (APD) in 2015 and is currently its President & CEO. He has been an Adjunct Professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies from 2016 to the present. He co-founded the International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAOIP) in 2013 and was its Chief Innovation Scientist until 2022.

APD is an education and hiring technology company that uses autonomous learning and artificial intelligence analytics to solve significant problems affecting students, teachers, academic administrators, and companies. APD received the 2019 H. Robert Schroeder Best Paper Award at the IEEE Integrated STEM Education Conference at Princeton University.

APD RAIKSTM rapidly assesses what students and professionals know and don't know, determines their personal learning preferences, and confidentially advises and continually supports their training and education. It was pilot-tested in 2016 Q4 by 200+ students in 10+ classes at 5+ universities; over the next seven years, it provided immediate, personalized, confidential feedback to students and timely class-summary feedback to instructors, enabling both to remediate gaps in teaching and learning with less risk and effort. APD SherpaTM authoring tools were developed in 2022 and significantly reduced the effort to create new innovative content, support the reuse of previously made items, and share content amongst authors. In 2020, APD started creating a Next-Generation Realtime-Exchange to disruptively innovate and overcome most of the fundamental flaws in the current education and hiring industries. The APD Nirvana-ClubTM hiring system completed alpha testing and began beta testing in Q3 2024.

Dr. Nadan joined the NYU Polytechnic Institute in 2009 before it became the NYU School of Engineering. As a New York University Tandon School of Engineering Industry Professor - Management of Business and Technology Innovation (2009-2016) and Director of its Executive MS Programs [Executive MS Management of Technology (MS eMOT) and MS Management of Technology (MS MOT) Programs] (2009-2015), he tripled enrollment by continually updating its curriculum, attracting academically-qualified faculty and guest speakers with high-level practical technology-management experience, and creating and running its eMOT coaching and mentoring program. As an Adjunct Professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies (2016-present), he teaches Research Methods in Business, Strategic Management of Technological Innovation, and Innovation Science and Entrepreneurship.

He co-founded and launched the International Association of Innovation Professionals (www.IAOIP.org) in 2013 to accelerate the advancement and utilization of innovation science. IAOIP grew to 4,000+ members in 120+ countries, and 300+ IAOIP members were Certified Innovation Professionals and Certified Innovation Managers. He served on its Board of Directors and Executive Committee as its Chief Innovation Scientist and Associate Editor of its International Journal of Innovation Science (IJIS) (www.innovationscience.org).

Earlier in his career, Dr. Nadan held numerous senior-level management and leadership positions, including (i) President & CEO of the US Operations of TORI-Global, a London-based global consultancy primarily in the Financial Services industry where he founded and ran their Innovation Consulting Practice; (ii) Sr. VP & Global CTO of NYSE traded GTECH; (iii) CTO of AIG Technologies; (iv) Sr. VP for Strategic Planning & New York Operations of Reuters; and (v) Sr. EVP and de-facto COO of the Market Data Corporation division of Cantor Fitzgerald where for over 13 years he developed numerous interdealer broker-support and electronic trading systems including OptiDrayTM, an entrepreneurial spinoff for trading transportation instruments.

After completing his Ph.D., he joined the City College of New York (CCNY) as an Assistant Professor of Computer/Electrical Engineering. He received early tenure three years later and was promoted to Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of the CCNY School of Engineering. During the next four years, he taught, researched, and was the dissertation advisor for six Ph.D. students. Dr. Nadan then accepted a sabbatical leave at Philips Research Laboratories and, after one year, gave up tenure to become the Scientific Consultant to its President. He led US consumer electronics R&D for the North American Philips Company for the next nine years.

Dr. Nadan has a Ph.D. in Computer/Electrical Engineering from the City University of New York and an Executive MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business in consumer behavior, marketing, and strategic planning, where he finished tied for first in his class of 108 students. He is a co-creator and a Master Leader of the "Art and Science of Innovation" method and workshops, a McQuaig Certified Behavioral Assessment Interpreter, a Belbin Accredited Team-Roles Analyst, and a Life Senior Member of the IEEE.

Dr. Nadan received an NSF Outstanding Science Faculty Fellowship (1968-1969) and an NSF Outstanding Young Teacher Award in 1971. He was elected to the following honor societies: Beta Gamma Sigma (Business), Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical Engineering), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering), and Sigma Xi (Research).

Behzad passion for the fast-paced and ever-changing world of zeros and ones began when he first started working with an IBM 80286, running MS-DOS 4. Behzad put his passion for computer and information technology to work as a network administrator and IT director for a large manufacturing company, and ultimately founded his own IT company.

At the helm of this IT company, Behzad was afforded a broad view of what organizations and users need in terms of information and technology services, noting in particular, a lack of effective utilization of innovation in strategic decision-making.

He pursued a degree in Information Management and Technology at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Then he started the MS Management of Technology and Innovation Executive Program at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, where he was introduced to the academic notion of Innovation.

His research interests are focused on Socio-Technical Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, research on different methods of using Innovation Science to minimize entrepreneurial risk, Innovation Management, and, in particular, Learning Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

He is currently co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at APD.

Dr. Lowrance is a data scientist and business strategist.

He was the Chief Technology Officer for Capital One, one of the early companies to leverage predictive analytics, and CTO for Reuters, a big and fast-moving data company. He helped New York University design its Center for Data Science and then led the building of its Master of Science in Data Science degree.

He co-founded 7 Chord, which predicts corporate bond prices. He was an adjunct professor of data science at NYU, teaching machine learning to software engineers. He advises the University of Miami's Institute for Data Science and Computing by serving on its Industry Advisory Board. He helped the Miami-Dade College design its four-year AI degree. He was a partner at the Boston Consulting Company and an associate at McKinsey & Company.

Currently, he is the Chief Data Scientist of APD. He focuses on business strategy and product design. He oversees some of the software development.

He holds a doctorate in computer science from NYU, an MBA with high distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, and a BA in Mathematics cum laude from Vanderbilt University.

As Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary for APD, Jannet is responsible for developing and implementing administrative strategies that align with APD's goals.

She oversees compliance and risk management to ensure that the company adheres to global regulatory requirements and mores. She collaborates with her colleagues to draft and negotiate strategic alliances with contributing, partners, channel sellers, potential clients and institutions that can broaden the company's impact. She is responsible for all corporate administrative matters from protection of intellectual property, to employees, to board actions.

Jannet has been employed as a legal partner and as a corporate lawyer for over 40 years serving as senior counsel from CLO to segment lead. Her work primarily focused on the financial markets and combining evolving technology to the changes in the regulatory framework from cross border anonymous electronic trading, privacy compliance, internet security to new financial instruments. She has negotiated transactions ranging from one of a kind engagements to billion dollar deals. Her former employers include Thomson Corporation, Thomson Reuters, The London Stock Exchange Group and Market Data, an affiliate of Cantor Fitzgerald.

When not working, Jannet enjoys sailing, gardening and socializing with friends and family.
